The Við Djúpið Music Festival is an annual celebration of classical and contemporary music in Ísafjörður, a scenic town in Iceland’s Westfjords. Established in 2003, the festival provides a platform for international musicians to collaborate, blending world-class performances with educational initiatives.
The festival has a strong reputation for connecting musicians from both sides of the Atlantic. In 2025, Finnish, Icelandic, and American musicians will participate, including Decoda artists Owen Dalby (violin), Meena Bhasin (viola), Saeunn Thorsteinsdottir (cello), and Carol McGonnell (clarinet).
